Dogs are literally the sweetest and most innocent thing ever, so like, cuddling with them is so precious and warm 🙂

There are legit STAGES of cuddling with them:

  1. Doggo comes and lays down with you
  2. Doggo wags its tail and gives you the puppy eyes (we all know what those are because they get us every time…)
  3. Doggo literally SMILES as you rub its belly and pet its soft fur

  4. Doggo turns head and licks your face

  5. Doggo closes eyes as you pet the doggo

  6. Heart officially melted

TELL ME I’m wrong.

Oh wait.

You can’t XP!!

Just cuddling with my dog

(and other people’s dogs, of course, because I

LITERALLY have ZERO self-control)

are some of The Little Moments that makes me so grateful and happy🖤

Writing > Reading

So I kind of like to write…

You’re probably thinking, “Wow Izzy. That’s a shock!”

But I do love writing. Writing > Reading man!

I love writing for my school’s newspaper, I love writing essays (yes I’m THAT annoying kid…) I love writing blog posts

And I love writing fiction.

Any kind of fiction.

I love writing about universes that haven’t been invented yet, characters that haven’t been loved yet, and plotlines that haven’t been adventured yet.

But I have one problem with my fictional-just-for-fun stories.

I can NEVER seem to finish one!

I have all of these ideas and characters and plots…

And I can just never finish their stories 😦

I want to, I just never can.

Sometimes I get bored with my characters stories.

Sometimes I can’t think of another word to write.

Sometimes I just come up with another idea that just seems better than the last.

Our English teacher told us tio just “dumpster fire it”; write a HORRIBLE first draft that makes no sense, and then go back and make it pretty and elegant.

But I want my drafts to all to be pretty and elegant.

Although revising is sometimes helpful, epically with articles and essays, but with fiction it makes me lose interest in my story.

It makes my characters seem lame or uninteresting, and it makes my plots feel like something that’s been written by one thousand other writers.

And I know it shouldn’t because the WHOLE POINT of revising is to make your writing better, but it lowers my confidence in my writing.

It’s a whole struggle.

But sis is never going to quit writing because she loves it 🖤

TOP•5 ; Cities (in the U.S.)

*NOTE* I HAVE NOT TRAVELED ENOUGH TO DO TOP•5 ; CITIES (IN THE WORLD) CAUSE I’M BROKE. (HOPEFULLY) I’LL MAKE A TOP•5 ; CITIES (IN THE WORLD) BUT SIS NEEDS A PAYING JOB BEFORE THAT HAPPENS!! *NOTE*

So maybe some of you want to travel around or to the United States, and, your girl (being the awesome person she is) is here to help 😉

#5 ; Charleston 📍

So not only is Charleston culturally and historically rich, but it’s beautiful 🖤

One of the things I love about Charleston is the architecture.

Home have porches that wrap around them, there are varieties of colors, chandeliers hanging between porches, cobblestone streets, and grand churches.

The city market has lots of cultural and historical influence, and is honestly so cool!

It such a beautiful city; it’s on the water and it’s got stories to tell.

#4 ; New York City📍

Not to be a traitor to everyone who thinks NYC is the ish, but I’m not that big of a fan…

DON’T GET ME WRONG!!

The skyline is INDESCRIBABLE!!

And the city itself is upbeat and modern.

I had a lot of fun wandering around the city that never sleeps, especially at night.

When the city is awake and colorful in late hours it most beautiful.

And the shopping is fun, and you can eat a BUNCH of diverse restaurants from Little Italy, Chinatown, 5 Star restaurants, and killer coffee shops and then walk it off.

I just don’t think it’s all that…

I’m not saying NYC isn’t incredible, because it is; I’m honestly just more interested in other cities.

Believe me: I was disappointed that I wasn’t a huge fan because I had been waiting for so long to go :/

That being said, I would LOVE to go back to the Big Apple!

#3 ; Orlando📍

The city that’s always expanding.

(I don’t think it’s actually called that, but whenever I go, it seems like something new is being built every time!!)

Not to jump on the bandwagon, but one of the reasons I love Orlando is because of Disney and Universal cities.

Oh sue me!

You know you love Disney…

But the main reason I love Orlando is that I get to see my aunties 🖤

#2 ; San Diego📍

Not to be bias (but also to be 110% bias 😉 )…

Like I said in my first post, I was born in raised in California, so obviously it’s going to be at the top of this list!

It honestly just such a fun and beautiful place to be :))

San Diego has it all; sports, animals, beaches, sunshine, and food.

I’m not sure what else you need in life!

Although I never lived in San Diego (my parents did though!!), I still think it’s one of my favorite places in California.

I don’t know what else to say about it.

If you’ve ever been, you know how awesome and indescribable it is 🖤

#1 ; San Fransisco 📍

Haha okay, so I was raised here, so I’m going to be 7000x more biased that I should be, but I don’t really care 😛

Between the beautiful bridges, Ghiradehli Square, and the trolley cars, San Fran is easily the most diverse and beautiful city on this list.

There’s history. There’s culture. There’s beauty. There are modern traits.

It’s honestly everything I look for in a city

And…

It’s home 🖤

TLM ; Wavy Hair, Don’t Care

Although I have naturally wavy hair…

There is nothing more satisfying than taking out a tight braid to an abundance of wavy and curly locks 🖤

IMG_8422
ready to head out :))

It feels free, wild, and fun 🖤

I used to wish I could have straight hair, but now I put it in braids so it’s extra curly.

Ugh, just the moment when you take out a braid and you see the flow of curls…

So loose, so free, so indescribable.

As someone who spends the entire summer in braids, I’m telling you; the wavy locks at the end of the braid are so satisfying.

It’s, like, THAT satisfying ^

I don’t know, but it’s 110% one of The Little Moments that make me smile like an idiot for no reason :))

(And I’m telling you; The Little Moments where you smile

like an idiot for no reason are the BEST moments)

One to Ten ; Sadie

*WARNING* This post and book contain content that may be sensitive to some readers. PLEASE err on the side of caution!! *WARNING*

I would rate Sadie by Courtney Summers

★★★★★★★★★☆ • 9 out of 10

BECAUSE…

I think it had some REALLY important themes and messages throughout the book. This murder-mystery introduces Sadie Hunter, a nineteen-year-old trying to find justice and vengeance for her younger sister, Mattie, who was murdered in their hometown of Cold Creek, Colorado.

🚫 This book has very mature themes, including child predators and sexual abuse and assault, so it is not for everyone.🚫

However, I really enjoyed it because I am SUPER into murder-mysteries because I think they’re so much fun to solve and I love that moment when everything just clicks into place.

The reason I would rate Sadiea 9 out of 10is because it was such an intriguing book with such a beautiful writing style that I couldn’t resist falling in love with it. The chapters of this book alternated between two perspectives; Sadie and West McCray, who is a talk show host involved in the murder for a show called “The Girls.”

“We’re no better or worse than the people we walk amongst.” (Summers 66)

One of the things I didn’t like about the book was the involvement of child sexual abuse.

Although I understand it was crucial to the plot line, seeing that the main predator Keith/Darren/Chris/a-bunch-of-fake-names is Mattie’s alleged murderer, I didn’t feel it necessary to have more than one character be a child predator.

Besides this detail, I LOVED the book so much!! It was SUCH a good mystery, and I liked the involvement of the talk show in contribution to Sadie’s portion of the story.

Overall, I’d definitely recommend this book, depending on the person, because it was super intriguing and was so thoughtfully pieced together to create one of the best mysteries I’ve ever read.

“A body might not always be beautiful, but a body can be a beautiful deception.” (Summers 24)

TOP•5 ; Pie Flavors (/ Pie Rating??)

In honor of Pi Day, I thought I would do my TOP•5 ; Pie Flavors that’s also kind of like a pie rating? So yeah :))

(Also free recipes so YAY!!)

#5 ; Cherry Pie

CherryPie_03
source

Okay so I love cherries, but I don’t really like them in pie?
Just kind of underwhelmed but overwhelmed at the same time?

Like it’s very sweet, but too sweet.

I’m more of a fan of the crust than any other part of the pie… :/
I’d rate 5.5/10 wouldn’t necessarily recommend.

#4 ; Apple Pie

(Maybe I just don’t like fruit pies???)

16800-blue-ribbon-apple-pie-600x600
source

Good ol’ American apple pie…

Not to betray America or anything, but I’m actually not a huge fan of apple pie…

I know, I’m sorry!!

It’s crunchy and sweet and fruity and cinnamony, but it just doesn’t do it for me.

I love MAKING apple pie, so definitely 7/10 would recommend.

#3 ; Key Lime/Chocolate Chess Pie

Okay so for key lime pie I LOVE the crust, I just am really picky when it comes to the filling.

It can be a little tart, so it has to be balanced with sweetness.

I can only eat it in small amounts.

Also, when it’s dyed minty green, it really grosses me out.

Overall, solid 8/10.

As for the chocolate chess, I really like it, but again, I can only eat it in small quantities.

It’s very thick and chocolatey so I can’t sit down and devour a whole pie.

Solid 8/10 as well.

#2 ; Pumpkin Pie

source

Not to be 110% basic, but I love pumpkin pie, especially during Thanksgiving.

I like how it’s fall-y and really sweet at the same time.

Also, isn’t pumpkin a vegetable.

Boom: healthiness.

(how to be healthy by izzy: lie to yourself about

unhealthy foods to justify gorging yourself)

But in all seriousness, I really do love it.

9/10.

#1 ; Pecan Pie

1382541369692
source

Yeah, so I’m kind of a slut for pecan pie…

Like, don’t leave me alone in a room with it because it’ll be gone!

Pecan pie is easily the most delicious pie in the ENTIRE world 🖤

It’s sweet, it’s crunchy, it’s got a nice crust.

Literally the most beautiful creation on this ENTIRE planet, and that’s simply just the tea sis!

11/10 would definitely recommend.

TLM ; Heartbeat

One of the most comforting feelings in the entire world is hugging someone and hearing their heart beat 🖤

I was hugging someone a year or so back, and that’s when I first realized…

“Oh my god. Their heart! I can hear and feel it beating!”

And (not to sound cheesy) I’ve never hugged a person the same way again.

There was just something so comforting about listening to their heartbeat

cac73d06762bde9374926d79c228cdc5
source

It was sheltering – I felt so safe – and it was so gentle and pure, like nothing could compare.

And I kept hearing it.

Every time I hugged someone, their heartbeat was there.

And I couldn’t describe why it made me so happy; I just knew that it did.

When we’re babies, we begin hearing our mother’s heartbeat after 16-18 weeks of being in the womb.

And we still find it comforting.

I cannot name a single feeling that makes me feel happier than hearing someone else’s heartbeat when I hug them.

I’m not sure if somebody’s heartbeats make other people as happy as it makes me, but I’m not sure I care.

What makes you happy makes you happy.

And hugging someone and hearing their heartbeat is just one of The Little Moments that makes me indescribably happy :))
